The Place to Find All Things Frum!

FrumFind.org Is one component of a growing network of affiliated websites that collectively are capable of doing far more than anyone could have ever imagined.

Completion Phase

This website is reaching its completion phase. Even as I write this, I have to admit I am not fully sure what the above statement means. I suppose if I had to simply pin down down what this website is all about I would have to admit that even now it is mostly experimental.

The simplest way even for myself is to come to terms with what I have been attempting to build over the last few years is this:

I see myself primarily as a writer, and a photographer. I happen to have a profound insight into the way things are, and the way I envision them in my dreams.

The skills I have make me a natural for such things as web development. However putting together websites that actually accomplish specific functions becomes a concern of some very highly technical coding skills. Now I can do those things, it just takes a significant amount of effort and focus.

As much as I enjoy and love technical based things, I also hate them. I am far more geared on a;

that’s the way my brain is hard wired, kind of way,

to working with the creative side of things. However, the realm of endless creativity actually never leads to anything. In one’s own mind one could be the greatest author in the world, yet if they never sit down and commit the words to paper, or better yet on a keyboard, the entire things is just a happy little dream.

Which of course brings me back to where I started. This website along with about a dozen or so others up until about maybe about six months ago have been primarily a labor of love. Now don’t get me wrong, I did envision something when I began, however the energy of unbridled creativity only gets you far.

There is something that needs to be done at this point with the small family of websites which began their existence with the concept or word “Frum” as a major part of their raison d’etre clearly revolving around the orthodox lifestyle.Additionally there is no doubt in my mind that the concept of  ”Find” is very much a valuable and important concept on the internet.

Finally we are left with, what is really the story with the dot Org’s and why do I like them so much.

The simple truth is like the dot Org’s for a few different reasons. The simplest one being is that when you go to buy certain domains, it seems as if someone perhaps with a lot of money has already gone to the domain store and bought up all of the domains that end with dot com.

While my involvement in the domain business has indeed shown me that there actually is one particular person who has done just that, I really think the standard thought process goes along the lines, that you have to be a non-profit organization in order to use the dot Org domains.

Aha, this simple “on-line” thought process has lead me to an extremely simple answer, that I simply have not previously thought of.

I could easily tell you, yet there is not very much fun in that. Instead I will try to locate a nice pic and move on to one of my other projects.

I actually took the time to write an entire caption here, and the caption was not picked up! This is one of those technical issues which while may be challenging is also a huge distraction to what I am trying to accomplish.

One of the great things about having employees is the specific concept of hiring others to do something that while you could simply do it yourself, your own unique talent is more valuable in should be focused on other things.

As a final comment on the main idea here, is there is a time of expansiveness when a concept is developed, and then expands. However the concept of contraction is equally important.

There is a concept in the Gemara in Masechtah Chagigah that states how G-d states, I am Shakai who said Dai.

The explanation fits in really nicely with the Big Bang theory (IMHO)  in that at some point in creation all the world’s universes and galaxies were expanding at an incredible pace, and ( or unraveling like the woof or warp of thread (the gemara’s analogy)  I guess when a a thread gets pulled and an entire garment gets unraveled).

Then, G-d said enough, and the universe either stopped expanding or slowed down significantly.

In my relatively rare world view, I believe this explains how G-d created gravity. Unfortunately science is typically not adequately taught in many of the religious schools  I assume because the thought is if you believe in science, you will somehow, stop believing in G-d!

Like I said, completion phase. In my mind that also means pulling out all the stops, and stop trying to placate everyone, and going with the fundamental core of what you believe in.

A Quick Word of Warning on the Ever Popular High Protein Diets.

A Quick Word of Warning on the Ever Popular High Protein Diets.- By Stephen (Aharon Moshe) Sanders- June 10th 2011- 1:54pm EST

As the summer months move into full swing more and more people take on various diets. Additionally between all the feasting and napping that normally takes place during the Jewish religious holidays, I thought I might be a reasonable idea to at least share some of the concerns regarding one of the effective and popular diets:

The following is a complete take that I decided to share on a blog that I discovered via the comment section of this website. The article itself seemed to be only a small tidbit on a pretty big topic in the multi-million dollar diet business. After realizing that my comment would be subject to an authors similar scrutiny as mine I realized I was probably giving away far more than I would be gaining.

With that in mind here is the comment, that I authored in it’s entirety below:

Drink eight glasses of water daily with this diet! Extra water needed to help kidneys eliminate extra nitrogenous wastes.?-Aharon Moshe Sanders, 6/10/11 1:52 pm while reviewing comments at the Apple Store Palisades Mall, Rockland County NY

The high protein diet is definitely of great value. The concept “in a nutshell” is that it requires more energy to utilize the “energy” locked up in a gram or protein than it does in a gram of carbohydrates.
However the “fat burning” component of this diet also requires that a minimum amount of carbohydrates are concerned, on the order of 20 grams in an entire day! This is an incredibly low number and it encompasses all carbs simple or complex. The only acceptable carb that would not be counted towards this quota are the “non-niutriotional 0 calorie “fiber” carbs.

Eight Glasses of Water Daily an Important Safety Tip!

Eight Glasses of Water Daily an Important Safety Tip!

Also the diet puts a great deal of additional stress on the kidneys as the body goes into Ketosis after 24 hours on this diet. The kidneys work harder to remove the toxic ammonia containing nitrogenous wastes associated with utilizing protein for energy production.

This is called gluconeogenesis and is  the essential yet dangerous component of this diet. These diets may have the now very common discalimer regarding consulting a physician before putting oneself on this plan. Also the requirement regarding drinking eight (8) glasses of water during the day is also important to aid the kidneys perform the additional workload associated with this diet.

Pesach, Blogging on the Fly, Bringing a Vision into Reality.

Pesach, Blogging on the Fly, Bringing a Vision into Reality.- By Aharon Moshe Sanders  aka Stephen C. Sanders- Monday April, 18, 2011 started at 7:17AM

Blogging is nothing more than a type of electronic diary at its least inspired moments. You notice a certain deterioration in the grammar or sentence structure depending on your mood. No doubt there are writers who far more gifted than I. My talent mostly lies in the areas where I simply get to spill my guts all over the page.

I used to apologize profusely for my grammar, spelling errors and typos, but the thing to remember (as my main excuse) is something I call blogging on the fly.

Now, I will finish up this though succinctly and with a little of my own poetice license (an original quote)

Would you believe I actually got slightly bored with my own post and had a look at Buzz, and I have a quote to share:

One amazing product that helps with hydration is chia.  Chia seeds, best known for the chia pet of the 80′s, is an amazing little seed… A superfood, actually!

What does Chia and Obama have in common? Ready to get soaked?

What does Chia and Obama have in common? Ready to get soaked?

Chia’s use in South America has been traced back to 3500 BC.  It’s hydrophilic action can absorb more than 12X it’s weight in water which makes it incredibly good at helping us to stay hydrated.  As if that wasn’t enough of a good reason to add chia to your diet, it has other benefits as well.  It is about 20% protein and has more Omega-3 fatty acids than any other plant food.

It makes a FAB pudding .  The great thing about chia seed is that it absorbs the flavor of whatever it’s soaked in!  Enjoy!

Chia Info courtesy of someone who I randomly noticed on Buzz (Google’s answer to Twitter). Thank you Joanna Manos for sharing some important factual information that my frum friends on frum find could easily put to use the next time we have an occasion to fast. I was not a first born so I need not concern myself with

Bringing a vision into reality may be the hardest thing an individual ever has to do.

I have always heard that the fastest way from point A to point B, is a straight line. However my recent learning in some of the deepest Torah concept that I was able to derive from the Parsha dealing with the blessing that G-d had bestowed upon Bezalel, Shemos Lamed Vav, Exodus 36. When I say the learning I derived I am not necessarily referring to an existing source. Typically I am putting together several different ideas (from several different sources) which make sense to me however a Talmud scholar, would definitely find cause for argumentation.

We learn that when Bazalel explains to Moshe exactly how he will be building the Ark only after the Mishkhan is completed Moshe tells Bezalel (Bezalel was the skilled craftsman in charge of building to portable Tent (Tabernacle) in the desert) “you must have been standing in G-d’s shadow”, (the meaning of Bezalel’s name) when Moshe had been hearing from Hashem about the creation of the Mishkan.

A note in the Stone Chumash explains how Bezalel knew the subtle mystery of how Hashem had created the entire Universe with the Hebrew letters. Yet the main Hebrew letters which make up Bezalel’s name could hardly be thought of anything like a straight line. We se a Tzadi:

The Tsadi is a very crooked letter, yet the character of a Tzadik is righteous.

The character Hebrew letter Tsadi is a very twisted and crooked letter, yet the character of a Tzadik is righteous or straight. Therefore those who seek the enigmatic to explain the subtle mysteries of creation might pause to consider:

The path which was forbidden to Adam and Eve in Gan Eden (Garden of Eden) was the fruit of the knowledge of good and evil. When we consider this path we might think of of it as a path straight to death, and was thereby prohibited. I consider this as someone who is quick to either view someone as bad or good and miss the subtle nuances of character that tend to redeem someone who on the surface might seem to be evil. While a Tzadik (like Bezalel, who stands in the shadow of G-d, understands that he must look forward and back, up and down, side to side, bending over backwards to find the redeeming qualities of goodness even in something that might appear as bad.

Therefore the esoteric knowledge I seek to explain has to do with an aspect of the very twisted Kabahlistic  tree:

A classic kabbalistic tree, with all of its twists and turns. The true path of those who walk in the shadow of Hashem.

A classic kabbalistic tree, with all of its twists and turns.

The path complete with all of its twists and turns from Keter (nearness to Hashem) to Malchut (things manifest in the real world that we live in today) takes all the twists and turns needed to manifest all the varying gradations on shades embodied within all the other sephirot. These represent the path of life itself where there are very few shortcuts.
